THE PAINT SWATCH PAINTINGS SHOP

Since I was a kid, I’ve been drawn to paint swatches at the hardware store. They’re so vibrant & there are so many all arranged in rainbow order. And, have you ever read some of the names?! They can be downright bizarre (ps: I want that paint-naming job)! During the isolation of 2020, I found myself in front of a dusty swatch display in a desolate corner of my local Lowe’s when I saw the color “Sage Advice.” It made me laugh – I love a pun. Then I was struck with a strong impulse to draw a bundle of sage ON the swatch & the rest is history. All of these paint names are real & not made up by yours truly. I hope they brighten your day.
